I am a marketer and public relations professional. That’s what I do (and have done) for over two decades and I can honestly say that I love it! You see, by definition, marketing is about communicating the value of a product, service or brand to customers or consumers for the purpose of promoting or selling that product, service, or brand. It’s about setting the product, service or brand apart from the others. Marketing & PR, it’s all about telling a story.

In 1994 I opened an agency and we base everything on a simple work ethic I learned from my parents. They were the off-spring of hardworking, Italian immigrants. Both my mom and dad knew what it was to put in long hours and struggle to make ends meet. My dad was a mason, an artist in his own right. He and his crew constructed hospitals, shopping centers and business parks that still stand today. My mom took care of our family. She raised 4 daughters, gardened, cooked, cleaned and made our house a home. The way I see it, my parents had 3 work qualities that now serve as the cornerstone for everything I do:
1. Know (and love) what you’re doing.
2. Keep your word. Do what you say you will do.
3. Do your best, and give an honest day’s effort.
Believe it or not, those 3 principles make me happy in life; when I’m on the giving AND receiving end of each!
