Sweet Strawberry Jam

Homemade strawberry jam is so quick and easy, not to mention tasty! Serve it on almond cookies, cinnamon or whole wheat toast. A dollop in the bottom of a glass of Prosecco is nice too!
Ingredients
- 16 OZ fresh strawberries, hulled, cut in quarters
- 2 pats of butter
- zest of 1 lemon
- juice of ½ lemon
- ¼ cup granulated sugar
- ½ TSPN bourbon extract
Instructions
- Place the strawberries into a small sauce pan. Warm up over medium heat. Add the butter, zest and juice of the lemon, sugar and bourbon extract. Stir until it comes to slow bubble. Lower the heat and cook uncovered for about 3-5 minutes. Remove from heat. As it cools, it'll thicken.
